Our friends at Lakes Community High School up in Lake Villa IL have invited us to join them for their year-end jazz band concert! These talented kids have even taken on the gnarly task of performing some NN tunes with us - this it gonna be a blast yall, don’t miss it :)

Wisconsin is becoming our home-away-from-home it seems :) Our first gig in Milwaukee will be at Anodyne Coffee Roasting Co., an unassuming-by-day, sublime-by-night music venue that we first discovered when our friends J-Livi & the Party played there last summer. Love-at-first-show doesn’t even begin to describe it :)

In partnership with WDCB 90.9 FM, we’re heading to Studio5 Music and Dance in Evanston to perform our self-titled record in its entirety. It’ll be a while before we do this again, so don’t miss it! Also streaming online as part of the Chicago Jazz Live series.

On Wed Apr 2 we’re packing up our gear and bringing the shred to one of our favorite places - the schools, the young shredders, specifically Focus on the Arts at Highland Park High School.

Focus on the Arts is an multi-day arts festival organized to open young minds to local and national acts in music, art, dance, and drama. New Nostalgia is honored to play a part in Focus’s mission: sparking innovation and creating new ways of thinking and viewing the world for HPHS students and our broader community.

Our debut in Ohio! We are very excited to play in Ohio for the first time and even more excited that we can do so at the Bop Stop!

We’re teaming up with legendary Chicago jam-rockers Sneezy for a party at Appleton Beer Factory in Appleton WI, the Midwest’s best-kept secret for live music.

11 months after we last took the Sleeping Village stage, New Nostalgia returns to headline along with two instrumental jazz fusion acts, TAP’d In and DEL Trio. NN will rock through a mix of classics and brand-new material for our upcoming 2nd album.

We were stoked to get a call from Hersey and Mundelein High Schools, who wanted to perform NN’s 2021 banger Punching Up for a new instrumentation - two big bands combined! This beast of a project will be performed at the Illinois Music Education All-State Conference (IMEC) in Peoria, where both Hersey and Mundelein big bands will sit across from each other and slay this tune in stereo formation!

Join us at Martyrs’ in Chicago for an awesome show while we accompany Leftjones, Chicago’s hip hop band from the Southside best known for providing platforms for emerging musicians to test new ideas and collaborate with a live band of professional musicians, and Chris Sanchez, a Chicago based drummer and the leader of CHOFIS.
